What is a typical program?

Although you can select the type of treatment you want, all treatments begin with an interview to better understand your needs and concerns.  A typical program includes:

  • a full neuropsychological evaluation to identify cognitive, emotional and social strengths and weaknesses,
  • an individualized neurocognitive rehabilitation program based on neuropsychology test findings,
  • consultation with caregivers, educators, other therapists and physicians to maximize and direct treatment objectives,
  • participation in individual education placements (IEP’s,)
  • education programs specifically designed for staff, teacher, peers, and community, and
  • periodic follow up assessments to monitor progress and cognitive functioning.
